Pee Pocket vs pStyle: which stand-to-pee device suits you?

peepocket-50-pack

We make The Pee Pocket, so read this knowing that. The pStyle details below come from pStyle’s own site, checked October 2026, and we say plainly where the pStyle is the better choice.

Pee Pocket vs pStyle comes down to one question: do you want a device you keep, or one you throw away? The pStyle is a hard plastic funnel made to be used again and again. The Pee Pocket is a fold-flat funnel you use once.

The short answer

Choose the pStyle if you spend a lot of time outdoors, use a funnel most days you are out, and are happy to clean and carry it. Choose The Pee Pocket if you want something for public restrooms, travel and occasional trips that never has to go back in your bag after use.

Rigid versus fold-flat

The pStyle’s selling point is its shape. It is a sturdy, hard plastic trough that, in pStyle’s words, never folds or collapses. pStyle says that makes it simple to use with winter clothing and hiking or climbing gear. It has been sold since 2006, and its users include hikers, backpackers and people who work outdoors.

The trade-off is space. A rigid funnel takes up room in a bag whether or not you use it. The Pee Pocket folds flat to about the size of a napkin, so two or three sit in a jacket pocket or a clutch without anyone knowing they are there.

What happens after you pee

A pStyle goes back in your bag after use, so you will want the pCase or a bag of your own. Out on a trail that is no trouble. In an airport stall or a stadium restroom it means carrying a used funnel until you can wash it properly.

Every Pee Pocket is individually wrapped with a hygienic wipe and a sealable disposal bag. You use it, seal it and drop it in the bin.

Price over time

A pStyle costs $11.99, or $25.98 with the pCase. That is about what 15 Pee Pockets cost at the 30-pack price of 77¢ each. If you will use a funnel more than 15 times and can keep it clean, the pStyle works out cheaper. If you use one a few times a year, a pack of disposables costs less and there is nothing to maintain.

Which should you choose?

Plenty of people keep both: a reusable for the trail and a few disposables in a handbag. For the wider question, read disposable vs reusable pee funnels, or see our round-up of the best female urination devices.

Questions

What is the difference between The Pee Pocket and the pStyle?

The pStyle is a rigid, reusable plastic funnel that you clean and keep. The Pee Pocket is a single-use, plant-based funnel that folds flat, comes with a wipe and a disposal bag, and is thrown away after use.

Is there a disposable alternative to the pStyle?

Yes. The Pee Pocket is a disposable alternative. It is used once and binned, so there is nothing to clean or carry afterwards.

Which is better for hiking?

For multi-day trips most hikers prefer one reusable device such as the pStyle. For day hikes, festivals and travel, a few disposables are lighter and need no cleaning.

Does The Pee Pocket need a case?

No. Each Pee Pocket is individually wrapped and comes with its own disposal bag.
